Commander's Mansion Watertown, Massachusetts Wedding
Commander’s Mansion in Watertown, Massachusetts is the closest venue to Boston that gives a countryside wedding vibe. Surrounded by lush trees, gorgeous flowers with an absolutely stunning Grape Arbor for ceremonies, you’d never guess you’re only a few miles from Downtown Boston. The historic mansion is beautiful inside and out, which leads to unlimited possibilities in terms of atmosphere for the guests and photos. Maddie & Eric couldn’t have gotten luckier with the weather we got! Diana Lindsey (Instagram) joined me as my second shooter to help capture the day, and we were delighted with one amazing shot after the next due to genuine affection Maddie & Eric had for one another.
The ceremony took place in the Grape Arbor, which offers so many framing opportunities with perfect lighting. Their officiant was Maddie’s father, who is a Bishop! He gave the ceremony an extra personal touch.
While the guests mingled inside, we got to escape the crowd for a little sunset shoot all around the mansion and in the Grape Arbor. With these two, each shot was better than the last! We finished our loop around the mansion to head inside for the party.
Gabe, the DJ (DM Productions) kept the party going all night! Diana and I were able to get nice and close for some epic dancing shots. The energy of the final dance rocked the whole mansion! It's for shots like those why it's worth staying until the end.
