Portland, Maine Wedding
Portland, Maine is possibly one of the most iconic New England cities that has maintained its essence and charm over the years, which is why Paige & Joe chose The Press Hotel right in the heart of Portland as the setting for their wedding. When you have a wedding in New England in January, you're never really sure what you're going to get weatherwise, and for their wedding, Mother Nature delivered us an incredible snowstorm that none of their guests will forget!

The storm came rolling in Friday night and raged all through their day. The wind was howling, the whole city was shut down, giving it an ethereal look. The historic Press Hotel was well equipped to make the stay peaceful and cozy. Paige got ready in a suite that had great views of the storm, and plenty of room for everyone to hang out.
Joe got ready in a similar room at the hotel where my second shooter Alex (Alex Iby Photography) was there to capture the whole morning unfold.
We staged the first look right at the entrance of the hotel, which turned out perfect! Just pure genuine emotion!
Following the first look, we managed to squeeze in a quick portrait shoot. Paige and Joe suited up to brave the wind and snow for a minute to get some absolutely EPIC shots!
The ceremony took place one block away at the First Parish in Portland, Unitarian Universalist Church. The Press Hotel was gracious enough to provide a nice car to shuttle people between the hotel and church since the weather wasn't letting up at all. Their friend Chrissy Callahan did a masterful job leading the beautiful ceremony.
After the ceremony, it was time to get the party started! They hired a jam band legend, Lyle Divinsky, and the funk band Model Airplane! Lyle was a former member of The Motet, played at some of the most iconic venues in America like Red Rocks, and performed with the String Cheese Incident!
After Paige & Joe's first dance, Joe, who is just an incredible singer got on the mic to sing for Paige and her father's dance. Joe is overflowing with talent! As you can tell from the photos, the dance floor was packed and the party kept going all night. The energy was explosive!
Congratulations to Paige & Joe on a rare and quintessential New England blizzard wedding!
